New Year 2017

January 9th, 2017

The Parish Council wish all residents and visitors to Wendling a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

For the start of 2017, Wendling Parish Church has a new minister, the Reverend Julia Hemp, who can be contacted on 01362 861380. We look forward to meeting her as she travels around on her Parish duties.

Also for the New Year, the new village sign has now been installed on its base in Station Road.

It is a copy of the old sign, but in more durable material and is double sided.

The intention is to restore the old sign and then locate it in a suitable location elsewhwere in Wendling.

Any suggestions for a good location are welcomed.

Breckland Council has published the consultation document for the Local Plan, which will shape decisions on matters such as planning and infrasructure in the Breckland area for the next 5 years.

The public consultation period is from 19th. September to 31st. October 2016.

In order that all residents of Breckland may have an explanation of the plan, and an opportunity to comment upon it, a series of consultation meetings have been planned at various locations in Breckland.

The details of these meetings are on their website, and a poster with all the dates and venues is now on the Parish Council notice board outside the village hall.
